I seriously don’t understand how Dio fell for Jotaro’s planted magnet trick. I mean, time is stopped, right? Why would the magnet work if time is stopped? Dio said himself that he’s the only one who can move while time is stopped, only objects he’s manipulated can move, so…
Seriously Dio how did you even /fall/ for that. Fucking magnets, how do they work.
…Maybe I’m just too dumb to get it.
HE’S OLD HE FORGETS HOW THINGS WORK SOMETIMES GIVE HIM A BREAK D:
But seriously* … Maybe because stands are pretty conceptional? The space around him must be loose enough for him to move, as well as his clothing. He interacts with objects, like creating a momentum with a thrown knife that freezes then picks up again. (I’m saying how close or connected something is to him and his actions has an effect on its operation/mobility) So it could be that he assumes the magnet attached to him “works” like his clothes do and maybe that gives some power to its matching part? (I wonder what happens if he makes a phone call in frozen time)
I think stands are more like ideas and thoughtforms so their possibilities have more to do with the user’s (sub-/superconscious) understanding or viewpoint rather than any objective science …
But I think most people agree that that was kind of an exceptionally weak event storywise, hee hee.
